THE ADORABLE SNOWMAN AND HIS YETI FAMILY

Welcome to my first pattern ever!
These little yeti are perfect for cuddle, they need a lot of love!

I hope you will love them as much as I do :)

Original pattern of Lisa Marie Arseneault from Amigurumore, 2018 ©

Abbreviations :
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
2tog = crochet 2 stitches together
ch = chain
f/o = finish off

Supply :
For a fluffy yeti : Use Bernat Pipsqueak and a 4,5 mm hook (US 7)
For a not fluffy yeti (you know what I mean!) : Use any worsted yarn and a 3.5 mm hook
[You can use any yarn, but be sure to choose the appropriate hook size, you need tight stitches]
You need at least 2 colors of yarn (3 if you do the taller yeti)
Safety eyes (the size you want!), you can also use whatever you want like button,
felt or yarn, but I prefere safety eyes
Stuffing
Blunt end needle

How to read this pattern :
I write my patterns the same way as Sharon from Amigurumi to go
Each row has a sequence.
Example: 1sc then 2sc in next st means repeat that sequence
1sc then 2sc in next st followed by 1sc then 2sc in next st over and over
to the end of that particular row.
The number inside the parentheses ( ~ ) is the number of stitches you should have at the end of that particular row.

Notes :
The baby yeti (white and turquoise) and his mother (fluffy white and purple) are made from the same pattern,
the different sizes are due to the different yarn.
It’s the pattern without notes in the following pattern.
The father of the family is the taller yeti with horns (two tones of blue).
There is pattern notes in this pattern for the modifications of his body.
This is the only thing that is different with the horns.

Important :
Don’t be shy with stuffing!
These yetis are even more cute when they are really fat, so they need a lot of stuffing!
I like them when they are almost hard, when they can’t contain more stuffing.
Also, use stitch markers! It’s even more important with the fluffy yarn!

Assembly :

-Add safety eyes on the face’s patch.
I put mine between row 3 and row 4 with 4 or 5 visible stitches between them.

-Sew the face’s patch under the 4th rows of the head.

-Sew the arms on. Hide your color change if you think it’s too visible.
I sew mine under the 10th row.

-Sew each feet to the leg. Put a lot of stuffing in the legs before the next step.
Sew the legs under the body, there is a lot of different way to sew them on.
Find what you prefer!

-You can add hair on the top of the head, as your prefere!
Same for the horns, place them where you think it’s the best!
